what if i was blind...

hey blog buddies,

today's blog is not really thought provoking but just a little sharing of experience...
what if the signs were there all along when we were still together but i just refused to see it...
i wanted some one who could actually love my parents as well, ya'know...

signs i shouldn't have ignored:

  1. she wasn't comfortable when i said i wanted to see her parents (you know, to ask official permission and blessing)
  2. she got kinda mad when i can't spend Valentine's with her but spent it with my mum instead... (come on man, i'll be happy if my partner loves her parent cos it will come back to our kids)
  3. she was reluctant when my parents were around and wanted to meet...
  4. she doesn't really like you respect her... (i didn't want to start touching, or even hold hands, before i get her parents' blessing)
so, here were the signs i shouldn't have ignored...
and here's a little to you guys...
if your partner can't love your parents, and doesn't let you love theirs,
you know it's a recipe for a bad relationship...
learn from my mistakes and do not (at least try not) make the same mistakes...

cos connection is oh so necessary

hey blog buds,

in this time and age, with everything so fast paced,
connection is really important...
whether it's through internet or telephone connection,
they are both really important...

those days, without the invention of telephone and such,
a college student will not know if their class was cancelled until they get there...
sometimes, the lecturer would not be able to contact the leader to tell the class...
so, if stuff were last minute, that would make a big waste of time...

speaking on time,
without connections, things will be kinda slow...
snail mail, true to it's name, will take ages to reach the desired recipient...

now, the other side of it,
those days, the world was still safe...
now, you can't even guarantee that you'll reach home safely when you just want to head to
the sundry shop down the road and pick up a little supplies...
this of course, rings more true for ladies and younger people...

however, with connection, this case kinda worsens...
people could now track your position and stalk you...
with some apps that shows where you are, people could track you...

so, blog buddies,
surf safe...
check your privacy settings and make sure you're always alert to your surroundings...

Technology,
even the good will have some bad...

little color in your life

they say that the little things in life that adds color to it...
i would also like to add that the little bad things are included...

you see, without the bad, the good will seem, normal...
and boring...
to me, a perfect life is a boring life...
and that is why perfection is just boring...

with the little bad things, we get embarrassing stories...
and embarrassing stories will make us laugh when we're older...
the bad things in life also makes the good seem better...

so, what are you waiting for...
enjoy both the good and bad in life...
cos roller-coasters are more fun than train (Sheldon will defy though)

dear friend,

dear friend,
i'm writing to you because they told me you'll listen...

those were the words that actually pulled me into liking The Perks of Being a Wallflower...
deep within us, we just want to be heard...
but many a times, it's either what we say was drowned out by the crowd,
or people only listen when you have something stupid to say...

is society so "whats the word" these days that no one wants to listen to thoughts of others...
like real thoughts
because these thoughts are the ones that could cause change...
it doesn't matter whether it's a small or a big change,
it will somehow cause change...
because thoughts that does not cause change is void and empty...
and people do not like change....

but once in a while, comes a thought,
a thought so loud that it changes the world...
thought of freedom,
thought of justice,
manifested in words spoken...
words spoken to loud,
words spoken that demands attention that it changes the world...
and thanks to these thoughts of these great men,
we are now where we are...

thoughts,
the reason we speak,
the reason we listen,
the reason I blog...

think about it...
if my thoughts could change the world,
what will they be?

Banana and eye contact

They say you should never engage in eye contact when eating a banana
So, I kept a blank face as I munch away
Within a few bites, I was done
And that was lunch.
